With the support of AFAC, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture

We are proud that Les Gardiens de l’Eau: Avec Ushen le Fennec was selected for support by AFAC, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture, through its Ecologies of Culture programme. The AFAC committee welcomed our idea of educating children about water scarcity and the importance of planting trees, and we are grateful for their trust.

The project is an environmental education experience for children aged 6 to 12 in rural schools of the Marrakech-Safi region. Through Ushen, a fennec fox from the Agafay desert, it invites children to discover, in an artistic and participatory way, why water is precious and how we can protect nature.

The collection includes a hardcover book, a softcover book, and a puzzle, distributed in rural schools that have no green spaces. Alongside the books, children take part in tree-planting activities and workshops on how trees protect the soil, help it keep water, and support the water cycle our land depends on.
